Private lunch in Etterbeek: a daytime reception at Moyo House
The bright photographed room offers another way to imagine a reception: lunch rather than an evening event. For a family gathering or private occasion, planning the day involves preparation as well as the meal.

Decide when everything must be ready
Set guest arrival, then work backwards for tables, decoration and food. Agree access before booking suppliers. A daytime reception does not mean setup can take place outside the hired period.
Match the meal to the daytime schedule
Seated lunch, buffet or reception bites: specify what actually replaces a meal and what only accompanies arrival. Discuss drinks, desserts and dietary requirements separately to build a coherent proposal.
Plan departures and clearing
Guests may leave at different times, so keep access clear during service. Include clearing and restoring the room in your time slot. If considering the garden, check its conditions rather than treating it as an automatic room extension.
Moyo House: essentials before enquiring
Moyo House is at 56 avenue d’Auderghem, 1040 Etterbeek. Maximum capacity is 80 standing or 50 seated guests. Venue hire and catering remain separate. Check VAT-inclusive consumer or VAT-exclusive business rates and official conditions; a €500 security deposit is additional to rent. Setup and clearing are part of the hired period.
Information to include
Include date, venue, guest count, format and preferred timings. Add budget and dietary or logistical requirements. The enquiry allows feasibility to be assessed; it does not confirm a booking or a menu.
